Kirk has been part of the MRJ team since 1998 and is one of our top superintendents. He works on our most complicated projects where we clients can benefit from his considerable experience in structural concrete and complex construction.

Kirk has excellent communication skills and a can-do attitude that creates a great working relationship with clients, architects, and consultants. Outside of work, Kirk enjoys water sports, skiing, and fantasy football.

Since joining MRJ in 2004, Barry has been involved in all facets of the project lifecycle from pre-construction, to estimating, construction, and project close-out. Clients appreciate his skill in helping teams navigate through this process, along with his attention to detail and tireless work ethic.

When Barry is not working, he enjoys spending time with his family, cooking and planning his next adventure. Barry holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology.

Rolf founded MRJ in 1992 with a vision to build a client-centric construction company. The company’s long-standing commitment to communication, integrity and professionalism stems from his leadership. He also brings a unique talent for increasing the usability and design aesthetic of every building he works on.

Rolf enjoys kite boarding, mountain biking, snowboarding, hiking and traveling the world with his family. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Pacific Lutheran University.

Jessica Whitney

Jessica has been with MRJ since 2013 managing our accounts payable, accounts receivable, and subcontractor invoicing. In December 2020, she was promoted to Controller and is managing all MRJ accounting responsibilities.  Jessica works closely with MRJ project management team while also providing reporting to the MRJ ownership group.

When she’s outside the office, Jessica enjoys traveling, hiking, cycling, cooking, and reading. She holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Washington State University.

Martin is one of the founding partners who established the commercial division of MRJ and helped the company grow from a start-up company to where it is today.

Martin has been in the construction industry since 1986 starting as a Field Engineer working for a heavy construction contractor building Navy piers and bridges. In 1989, he began working for GLY Construction as a Project Engineer and was promoted to a Project Manager working on commercial and industrial projects in the greater Puget Sound area. In 1995, Martin left his previous position as Project Manager to launch the commercial division of MRJ Constructors.

Martin has diversified experience in all levels of commercial, retail, industrial, heavy, and residential construction. His primary focus at MRJ is acting as the Chief estimator, building and maintaining relationships with great clients, marketing and preconstruction services.

Martin works with clients and design teams on their projects from the early developmental stage through the conceptual estimating and into the preconstruction phase of the project, providing alternative building systems and cost alternates to ensure that the client’s budget meets their expectations.

Outside of work, Martin enjoys all outdoor activities, including mountain biking, kite surfing, skiing, and stand up paddleboarding. He holds a bachelor’s degree in construction management with a minor in business from Washington State University.

Chris has been with MRJ since 2006. He typically works on more technical projects involving complex mechanical/electrical and structural systems, where clients can best benefit from his commitment to quality.

Outside of work, Chris enjoys fishing, camping, skiing, hiking and carpentry. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business management with an emphasis in project management from Western Washington University.

Tim has been with MRJ since 2009. Clients have lauded Tim for his resourcefulness and creativity. He takes the time to understand the project’s details and makes sure it gets built as efficiently as possible.

Tim spend his free time playing hockey, biking, hiking, camping, snowboarding, going to concerts, and hanging with his dog Sherman. He holds an associate degree in carpentry technology from Green River Community College.

Ed joined MRJ in 1997 as a partner to help expand our commercial division. In the 20+ years since then, he has garnered extensive experience in technically demanding commercial, industrial, retail, residential, and heavy construction.

Ed is responsible for field operations and project management, including safety and direct labor. He works with project superintendents to resolve issues that arise during the construction of a project.

Ed’s hobbies including biking, skiing, kite boarding, traveling and playing with his dog. He holds a bachelor’s degree in construction management from Central Washington University.

Chris has been with the MRJ team since 2005, leading our concrete crews and putting his knowledge to work on complex projects. He is a detail-oriented superintendent who focuses on delivering projects as promised, ahead of schedule, and within budget. Clients tell us they enjoy working with Chris because of his great communication skills.

Chris is an avid outdoorsman who enjoys hiking, mountain biking, snowboarding, snowshoeing, surfing, hunting, fishing, and sport shooting.

Brian has been with MRJ Constructors since 2007. His focus is on guiding all stages of construction to control project quality, schedule, and budget. His emphasis on exceptional pre-construction processes ensures that the client’s goals and design team’s visions are realized.

Brian spends his time away from the office with his wife and two daughters. He is an avid skier and cyclist and loves spending as much time as possible in the mountains. He holds a bachelor’s degree in construction management from the University of Washington.

Gabe began his construction career working for a Kitsap County general contractor working on residential and mixed use construction projects during summers while in high school and as a summer internship position while in college. In 2017 after college graduation, he made the decision to continue his career in the construction industry and accepted a full time position with the same firm, working as a Project Engineer.  During that time, he worked on several multi-family, residential and tenant improvement projects.

On March 2021, he accepted a position with MRJ Constructors as a Project Engineer.  His first projects included the construction of the new Ferrari of Seattle dealership located in Bellevue and the Comcast Everett Corporate tenant improvement project.  As those projects finish, Gabe will continue to work on commercial and industrial projects within the greater Seattle area. 

Gabe's interests outside of work include skiing, hiking, exploring Seattle for the best food spots and home renovations/personal projects. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and a minor in Political Science from Washington State University.

Andrew has been at MRJ Constructors since 2005, working as a Carpenter, Carpenter Foreman and in 2021, was promoted to a Project Superintendent

He has worked as a Project Foreman on Seattle Country Day School project, Kitsap Humane Society projects, Rainier Mixed Use project and other projects. That experience has allowed him to work directly with Superintendents to gain management experience.

His dedication, thoroughness, scheduling skills and quality control has allowed himself to excel as a Project Superintendent.

Andrew enjoys swimming, surfing, boating, traveling, backyard barbeques with family and friends and biking and camping with his kids.
