Ford of Kirkland

Kirkland, WA

  • Architect: Lance Mueller & Associates
  • Client: Ford of Kirkland

The Ford of Kirkland project was an extensive tenant improvement that included doubling the size of two showrooms as well as building a new car delivery area between the two showroom buildings, modernizing the business’s service drive and parts retail area. While the sales staff moved to a temporary location offsite, a major challenge throughout construction was keeping their service drive fully operational. Working closely with the ownership team, the service department was successfully relocated to another on-site area for the duration of work in their space.

As part of the showroom expansions, the entire façade of the facility was re-framed and cladded with aluminum and other metal siding systems to meet the current Ford corporate image. The two new 3,500 SF showrooms were then enclosed with a floor to ceiling curtain wall system to allow ample light for displaying cars. MRJ was able to finish the project nearly a month ahead of schedule enabling Ford to get back to their normal business operations during the peak sales season.
