The Shop at Porter

The Shop by Porter was a designed by Graham Baba Architects and consisted of a 3,622 square foot buildout of a ground level suite at the 2+U building in downtown Seattle.

The goal for Porter was to have a space designed to be a multipurpose place where employees can use to host meetings with clients to showcase their products and designs as well as a space to host events and have a casual gathering to enjoy a coffee/pastry or a glass of wine.

The overall construction and design showcased high end finishes and extensive details that were reviewed during every step of construction to bring the space to life, a goal to bring rendering to reality. The space ultimately revolves around (2) spaces; A multi-level platform and a Bar/Café. The multi-level platform is covered with solid Ash hardwood flooring and Ash open shelving in which the center of the space is utilized for a meeting room with floor to ceiling glass walls and a floor to ceiling glass sliding/bi-fold opening. The wraparound bar/café showcases the use of stone & wood countertops, and a milestone plaster face. The facility utilizes the open to structure ceiling with a cloud structure over the top of the multi-level platform to enclose the meeting room.

The project completion was November 2021.
